Greetings! We live in Idaho, have 4 young children on our horse ranch in the mountains, and happy to be here. My wife Natalie will be creating an account here shortly. We were invited by an existing member of this website.

It has been very difficult to find a gathering of people who actually understand biblical plural marriage. My wife and I both feel strongly called to this higher law of marriage.

My wife is very giving and wonderful. She has big a place in her heart to be loving and accepting of sister wives in a very selfless way. She is very spiritual and connected with the Lord. In fact, she is the one who gained a testimony of plural marriage before I did. In many cases the husband will coax and beg the wife but in her case, she came to me and said that this is a calling and that we need to do what is of God. It took me some time initially to come on board because I wanted to be sure God was indeed calling me to it. I have always tried to conduct my life to be honorable toward God.

It has been very difficult to relate to those around us. Most people are so offended by plural marriage and will condemn you to no end as being misled and deceived. It is one of the loneliest positions to be in honestly. On one extreme you have those who are religious and claim to know the bible who will condemn or mock, and on the other extreme you have people who hate religious things and try to pervert what is sacred about biblical plural marriage and tell you to be “ethical” by participating in polyamory or so called “open.” We have been played by people on the polygamy dating sites who want to “just have fun” or are there just to “hookup” as they call it. Those sites seem to be home to scammers and people who have no intention to commit in sacred marriage. They don’t even understand that correct plural marriage in God’s eyes is still a monogamous union and sacred covenant between one man and one woman in each instance, but that the husband and patriarch is in additional marriages with one wife constituting each marriage so she has her own sacred and unique relationship with her husband. The marriage bed in each instance shall not be defiled. The duty of the husband is to love and cherish each wife unique to her needs and build a larger family unit that is loving and supportive of each other under the same roof in a way pleasing to the Lord.

The world has a difficult time separating and discerning what is of God and what is a counterfeit. The world in the situation of plural marriage seems to have one extreme of people who reject correct and godly plural marriage in the name of religion, or the other extreme which takes it and perverts or twists it in a way that is against God, only to celebrate and be permissive by calling it “enlightenment” and “fun.” Unfortunately, in some cases some people also misuse it to control and to be abusive. Whether it be unlawful activity by marrying minors, or manipulating women against their will to be in a marriage they don’t want to be in, or unloving marriages which are more out of expediency/betrothal, or neglecting a wife and in general mistreating women in a way that causes the Lord to be grieved at His daughters not being loved the way they deserve to be. If it’s done for unrighteous reasons, unlawful reasons, or against someone’s free will and agency, then it is not of God.

We are happy and excited to be surrounded by a group of people who understand agency and God‘s true ways.

Greetings Jamie, and thanks for the intro. It's a wonderful blessing for you and your wife to be united in your marital convictions. All the best. Shalom
