    Yes, but I never mentioned how morally appropriate connection is. That's separate topic.

    That I think describes the reason it is such a controversial subject. There is not a single arrangement that appeals to all. Calling it sinful in the context of a plural marriage requires condemning those the Bible does not....but it is...

    But in this case, more strategically and with intent to use the least amount of boots on the ground. A smart war, if there is such a thing. I know the Carlsons and Coulters on this world know better. Carlson is likely CIA/fed connected and...

    While we don't seem to have a direct prohibition against women having sexually intimate relations with each other, we don't seem to have any approval of it either. Here, we have a major difference with the doctrine of polygyny. The Bible...

    It doesn’t qualify legally in the same way as a formal declaration, but if he says that his country is at war with us, then we are at war.

    If Steve is right, that Iran has declared war on the USA, then he is also right that it isn't preemptive.
  • steve
    If you are referring to our attack on Iran, they declared war on us dozens of years ago and have been attacking us ever since. What is preemptive about shooting a dog that continues to bite you and rip your skin open? Especially knowing that if...

    Did you tap out? It must be exhausting trying to defend a doctrine that is found in one single verse in the entire Bible. And that verse is taken entirely out of context.

    @DiscipleOfChrist Are you proposing egalitarianism?
  • steve
    The OP came off as egalitarian. I am NOT. I was trying to demonstrate through scripture the roles of the man and his helper. The OP came off really really strong as if he had just had a private fight with someone on here that suddenly spilled...

    The word of God does not expressly condone nor prohibit it. Thus, it is for the man of the household to determine what his marital bed will reflect. Where there is no law, there is no sin.

    We are built for sexual intimacy inside marriage. And this means emotional connection. It may malfunction in some people and be damaged by too often change of partners, but neither mean it doesn't exist.
